Floating Wastewater Evaporator
The advantage of the Apex floating
wastewater evaporator is the increased run time allowed by
the in-pond location. While land based evaporators are more
prone to shut down due to the wind gusts, the Apex evaporator
can continue to evaporate in the same conditions because the
spray plume is closer to the pond surface and is more likely
to drop back into the pond instead of on surrounding vegetation.
The easy mobility of the Apex enables the operator to adjust
the location of the equipment to compensate for wind direction
leading to greater net evaporation rates. Evaporation rates
depend greatly on weather conditions such as ambient temperatures,
relative humidity, wind speed, etc.

Landshark
(LS)
Land-Based Wastewater Evaporator
The Land Shark (LS) is designed for
use in larger evaporation ponds or areas where overspray is
less of a concern. The fan's airflow produces a large spray
pattern which allows longer float times, thus allowing greater
evaporation rates. Evaporation rates depend greatly on weather
conditions such as ambient temperatures, relative humidity,
wind speed, etc.

Landshark
45 (LS-45)

variation of the original Landshark design with a lower flow
rate (45gpm). The LS45 is designed for the use in evaporation
ponds or areas where overspray is less of a concern. As with
the Landshark, the LS-45 produces a large spray pattern which
allows for longer float times, thus allowing greater evaporation
rates. Evaporation rates depend greatly on weather conditions
such as ambient temperatures, relative humidity, wind speed,
etc.

Floating Wastewater Evaporator
The Pit Boss is a floating evaporation system sold by Resource West as a result of requests from customers who choose to evaporate produced, frac, or other wastewater on site. The Pit Boss is uniquely suited for smaller pits such as the ones used in these applications. The Pit Boss Trailer includes the Pit Boss evaporation unit, a 12’ x 6.5’ single axle trailer, a Deutz diesel motor, a 1.5 hp Berkeley pump, and a 100 gallon reserve diesel tank. Pit Boss systems produce evaporation rates that are competitive with other disposal methods. Evaporation rates are highly dependent on weather conditions such as ambient temperature and relative humidity.
