The Pit Boss is a floating evaporation system sold by Resource West as a result of requests from customers who choose to evaporate produced, frac, or other wastewater on site. The Pit Boss is uniquely suited for smaller pits such as the ones used in these applications. The Pit Boss Trailer includes the Pit Boss evaporation unit, a 12’ x 6.5’ single axle trailer, a Deutz diesel motor, a 1.5 hp Berkeley pump, and a 100 gallon reserve diesel tank. Pit Boss systems produce evaporation rates that are competitive with other disposal methods. Evaporation rates are highly dependent on weather conditions such as ambient temperature and relative humidity.
